I read the latest one that appears on almost everyone's list "reading" is. And I am stumped as to why. Catcher in the Rye by JD Salinger is an American classic that I've heard about for years but have recently read. For me, it fits into a particular genre of books - one that is easily by the Americans in the first half of last century, only The Great Gatsby, or like graduation, in writing, is identifiable.received new course is due to generations of readers. These books also I'm still trying hard to be meaningful as the strike, and probably work Salinger is the leader of the pack.
Story of Holden Caulfield, a New York focused on the entitled rich guy. Holden is the biggest problem with the 'phonies' full - people who are very polite, people are less intelligent than he, people who do not meet your expectations. Holden is the point where he was kicked out of yet another boarding school, begins telling his story. Afraid to tell her parents, but in New York for another institution refuses to stay for 3 days, Holden bolts and is set in a sleazy hotel. While in New York, Holden an old girl friend, an old teacher, and his baby sister get along.
Holden during the time in the city, we learn more about his personal history. Holden's father is a corporate lawyer, an older brother who plays the Hollywood screen, and a younger brother who died of leukemia in writing, he has been expelled or dropped out of various boarding schools, and a virgin , for which she blames herself for the force girls to be too much of a gentleman. Most importantly though, we learn that Holden is a coward. He himself has said many times, but yet a bigger coward than he is willing to accept myself.
And the story of the rub - Holden anything beyond the surface in detail, would accept. Well, they say that the fact that he bounced from school to school is her fault, but that does not mean it.speech came from., whether you like it or not, it is a game that can be played or you risk a crash and burn from that you can bounce back. Holden finally get to listen to and (perhaps) were feeling. The teacher made a pass and ran it, everything seemed ready to absorb such a mistake.
The only other moments of emotional or intellectual honesty that Holden while his sister, the moon seems to have experiences.envisions running through to catch them before they fell by the rock. Ah, who have never applied themselves to the confusion. In the end, Holden is a mental health institute (I think - Salinger never openly states it) is placed in, and the story ends.

For me, however, Holden's story itself is a marvel of elegance to it yet is forced to grow up. Their concerns are normal, hardworking, self-aware people, have never been stronger and are struggling with.Finally, Holden in his own story was the biggest fake.
Salinger work did not resonate with me. I (or sympathy) Holden can not sympathize with, it has no place in the real world of adolescent feelings that felt like 214 pages. I wonder, though I work 10 (5) to read that years ago, my attitude would be different? I do not know, but I know what a place to catch in the Rye is my personal "reading" list.
